In 1854, several Icelanders left the land of fire and ice and traveled to Spanish Fork, Utah. Between 1854 and 1914, nearly 400 Icelanders left Iceland and immigrated to Utah.  Still honoring and cherishing its Icelandic heritage, Spanish Fork, Utah is the oldest continuous Icelandic settlement in North America.
